What is in the silo, the tank and the store sits on a note from last week. The value of that stock appears in no report at all.
The farm office is the place where everything shows up a second time – as a document, as a posting, as a figure in a report. That is exactly why most of the double work is created here. What was long since recorded in the barn, in the field or in the store gets entered again so that it reaches the books.
FarmManager turns the direction around. A purchase into the store becomes an expense, a sale out of the store becomes income, a machine carries its own depreciation forward, a contracting job brings its revenue with it. Costs can be allocated to an animal, a field or a machine. The enterprise analysis is therefore built from live postings instead of an estimate at year end.
Outwards the farm stays connectable. Incoming electronic invoices are read in and posted, outgoing invoices are produced as ZUGFeRD or XRechnung, and a DATEV posting batch is exported for the tax firm. Your accountant receives data instead of a binder.
Day to day this mainly changes the timing. Liquidity, debt service and lease payments appear in a forecast while the year is still running – not in a report that explains afterwards why things got tight.
