Every cycle with its numbers — from placement to close

FarmManager keeps layer and broiler flocks per cycle: birds placed, losses, feed conversion and the salmonella monitoring that has to be provable when it matters.

Does this sound familiar?

Cycles on a barn sheet

Placement date, bird count and losses live on a sheet in the barn. By the end nobody quite knows whether this cycle ran better than the last.

Key figures by hand

Feed conversion and efficiency get worked out on a calculator in the evening — when anyone gets round to it at all.

Salmonella evidence in a folder

Test dates and results have to be provable. The sheet sits in a folder rather than where the flock is kept.

How your farm works with FarmManager

01

Flocks per cycle

Create each flock as layers or broilers, with the placement date and the number of birds placed. Closed cycles are kept, so the running one can be compared with the previous one instead of with a feeling.

02

Performance without a calculator

Losses, total feed, average weight, age in days and the water-to-feed ratio come together as feed conversion (FCR) and the EPEF efficiency figure — computed from what you record anyway.

03

Salmonella monitoring on the record

The date of the last test and the result — negative, positive or pending — sit on the flock itself, so the evidence lives where the birds are kept.

Reporting as for any species

The antibiotic report under TAMG §55 is aggregated and transmitted to HI-Tier, the therapy frequency under §58 estimated locally. Welfare checks and biosecurity work as they do for cattle and pigs.
